Getting to Campus Did you know that the average student commutes over 11 miles to RVCC, costing about $12 roundtrip? Save gas and money and decrease your impact on the environment by using alternative transportation.
Main Campus: 118 Lamington Road, Branchburg, NJ 08876
On busy days, parking is usually available in Lot 5 and for faculty in Lot 6. Commuters are encouraged to carpool or take the shuttle when possible.
26% of RVCC's full-time students carpool or get a ride to campus at least once a week, and 20% more are willing to carpool. As part of RVCC’s RideShare trial, be matched to students with a similar commute using a trip-matching service, CarpoolWorld. Find out about the new, student-only RVCC rideshare website by emailing Student Campus Sustainability Intern, Allyson Schmieder, at email@example.com. See the Frequently Asked Questions page for more information.
Another option is NJ RideShare’s ride-matching service, which is open to everyone. Students and employees can fill out the online form on NJ RideShare to find a carpool.
People who register their carpool, take public transit, or bike two or more times a week can register with RideWise's Ticket Home program and are eligible to be reimbursed for their ride home in case of emergency. Contact Sara Catherine Lichon at firstname.lastname@example.org or call (908) 704-1011, x12 for RideWise inquiries.
Carpoolers and ride-sharers registered with RideWise or CarpoolWorld will receive a placard to park in the carpool-only parking spaces in front of the West Building. Contact Sue Dorward at email@example.com for parking placard information.
If you commute 15 miles or more to campus from a densely populated area like Flemington, consider vanpooling (carpooling in a rented van). Van costs are subsidized by NJ Transit. RideWise can help you join or start a vanpool.

Free Electric Car Charging
