RVCC TO PRESENT MUSIC STUDENTS RECITAL
The Music Division of Raritan Valley Community College?s (RVCC) Visual and Performing Arts Department will present its annual Music Students Recital, Wednesday, April 22, at 7:30 p.m. The event, which is free of charge and open to the public, will be held in the Welpe Theatre at the College?s North Branch Campus.
The talented musicians who are scheduled to perform are music majors enrolled in the College?s Associate of Fine Arts in Music or in the Associate of Arts?Music Option degree programs. The recital will include solos, accompanied solos and small ensembles in a wonderfully diverse program of musical selections from several centuries. Classical repertory, jazz standards and original compositions and arrangements will be featured.
Participating music majors will include guitarists Tyler Evans (Asbury), Travis Gerckens (Milford), Kyle Kassick (Somerset) and Matt Singer (Martinsville); mandolinist Christopher Idell (Martinsville); bassist Dan Filipak (Hillsborough); pianists Kamaal Caldwell (N. Plainfield), Este Higazi (Franklin), Jesse Mazzariello (Somerville), Michael Rosinski (Martinsville) and Jeffrey Stier (Bound Brook); flutist Erica Kane (Warren); trumpeter Timothy Svendsen (Hackettstown); vocalists Rachel Coburn (Frenchtown) and Joseph Pierone (Belvidere); and percussionists John Fiorilla (Watchung) and Ryan Hannigan (Belvidere). Also featured will be guest artist, bassist Jake Maurer (Hope).
