Expert on Police-Related Matters to Speak at RVCC

The public is invited to attend “A Conversation with Corey Pegues,” Thursday, September 22, from 4-6:30 p.m., at Raritan Valley Community College. The event, which is free of charge, will be held in the Atrium (lower level, College Center) at the College’s Branchburg Campus.

The event is the first in a Conversation Series at the College titled “How to Ensure that #BlackLivesMatter Really Matters: A Conversation on Race Relations, Racial Injustice and Inequality.”

A retired New York Police Department executive and a community leader, Pegues is an expert on police-related topics. He is the author of Once a Cop: The Street, The Law, Two Worlds, One Man. He will be speaking about what to do when confronted by police in police-citizen encounters.

The program is sponsored by the RVCC President’s Office, the Office of Human Resources, and the Office of Multicultural Affairs.
