Student Theatre Production to Feature Eight Comic Scenes

Raritan Valley Community College’s Arts & Design department will present a student theatre production of Beware, Weiner Dog!, November 15-18, at 7 p.m. Directed by Adjunct Associate Professor Danielle Barry of Bridgewater, the play will be staged in the Welpe Theatre at the College’s Branchburg campus.

Technical direction is by Dave Porter (Clinton) and Kenny Savoy (Piscataway); sound is by Matt Sheehan (Easton, PA); stage management is by Alius Connolly (Fanwood); the director’s assistant is Hannah Fey (Milford); the costume coordinator is Myra Niang (Califon); and props are being handled by Maria Opeka (Bridgewater).

In eight comic pieces, the show depicts love blooming on a phone sex line; a mythological trainee pursuing two big dreams; reliving the Zen of Gilligan’s Island; a surprised family arriving at the Pearly Gates; meeting The Exterminator Queen; watching an overzealous vigilante bag her prey; and witnessing an haute cuisine chocolate meltdown.
