Raritan Valley Community College’s chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa honor society will present a Halloween-themed event, “An Evening of Laughter, Magic and Ventriloquism,” Wednesday, October 19, at 7:30 p.m. The event will be held in the Nash Theatre at the College’s Branchburg campus.

The program will feature comic John Gemini Lombardi, a top headliner from The Borgata Casino who specializes in amazing magic, hysterical comedy, and incredible ventriloquism where the puppets appear to come alive. His performance is being provided by Gemini Productions. Award-winning comedian Larry DiGregorio, who is a retired New York State detective, also will perform during the show.

The show also will feature performances from RVCC's Hip Hop and Improv clubs. In addition, two RVCC Computer Science faculty members who are also comedians, Anne Marie DelPrincipe and Steve Schwarz, will perform stand-up during the event.

All of the evening’s proceeds will be donated to several local charities, including a college scholarship fund for residents of the Bridgewater-based Somerset Home for Temporarily Displaced Children (https://somersethome.org). The non-profit organization provides abused, neglected and homeless youth with housing, a stable environment and supportive services that guide them in becoming self-sufficient.

The show includes adult language, so it is suggested that no one under the age of 15 attend without a parent or guardian. For additional information, email steven.schwarz@raritanval.edu.

For tickets, at $10 each, visit https://rvcccomedy2016.eventbrite.com. Those who come in costume are eligible to win the $100 grand prize.
