Ophthalmic Science Student Named Transitions® Student Ambassador

Raritan Valley Community College Ophthalmic Science student Aimee Domnizky of Howell has been named a 2024 Transitions® Student Ambassador.

During the one-year role, Transitions® Student Ambassadors learn about new technologies being developed by the contact lens company; participate in professional development at  the Transitions® Academy in Orlando, FL; and network with students, opticians and optometrists, Transitions® teams, and other industry professionals.

Domnizky, a first-year student at RVCC, is pursuing an Ophthalmic Science (Opticianry), Associate of Applied Science Degree. She was one of only two New Jersey students who recently participated in the Transitions® Academy in Orlando. The three-day event, held February 11-13, was attended by 10 optometry and optician students from the United States and Canada. In addition to her studies at RVCC, Domnizky has worked at a private optometry practice in Howell for close to 15 years.

Student interested in studying optometry at RVCC have two options to pursue, an Ophthalmic Science (Opticianry), Associate of Applied Science Degrees or an Ophthalmic Science (Opticianry), Certificate – Apprenticeship Option.
