WHAT we offer

RVCC Children’s Campus
  • A stimulating and developmentally appropriate environment for children ages 3 months to 5 years
  • licensed by the State of New Jersey

The Creative Curriculum
  • utilizes the Creative Curriculum to organize rooms into learning centers, and to use these developmentally appropriate centers in guiding children through the ages and stages of early growth
  • each child’s development is carefully observed and lessons are planned within four domains of development: Social/Emotional, Physical, Cognitive and Language
  • teachers implement Creative Curriculum through the use of learning centers which include: Blocks, Dramatic Play, Toys and Games, Art, Literacy, Discovery and Sensory
  • with assurance that their environment is predictable and familiar, children can settle into learning and function as part of a community of learners

Flexible Scheduling
  • open Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 6 p.m., twelve months per year
  • children may be enrolled in full day or half day (7:30am-12:30pm or 11:30am-6:00pm), one to five days a week, on a monthly basis
  • occasional drop-in care is available as space permits to regularly enrolled children

Our Teachers
  • under the direction of Cathy B. Griffin, who has over 40 years of experience as an educator, trainer and director in early childhood, elementary and special education settings
  • each class is under the direction of a state certified head or group teacher
  • RVCC's Early Childhood Education students work as teacher assistants

Our Setting
  • located on the RVCC main campus at 118 Lamington Road, Branchburg NJ
  • the facility resembles a cottage nestled in the woods and features 5 rooms and two enclosed outdoor playgrounds
  • children are able to take walking trips on campus, as well as field trips to the College’s Planetarium and Theatre
  • children can learn and explore the butterfly garden, which has been certified by Monarch Watch as Monarch Waystation #2020, providing nectar and host plants for the Monarch butterflies
