We recommend that students planning to attend RVCC in the upcoming fall term should complete the FAFSA by April 15th. For continuing student's applying for 2014-15 award year, the state of New Jersey has a deadline of June 1, 2014 to apply to be eligible for the state Tuition Aid Grant (TAG). This deadline does not apply to new students or any federal grants, loans or scholarships and students who apply after June 1st will still be eligible for these other types of aid.
Did you know that you can view your financial aid history, from any school that you have previously attended? Please visit the National Student Loan Database (www.nslds.ed.gov). This site will give you access to your loan history and will have information about your lender and who to contact about repayment.
Important Information for Students Enrolled in the Summer 2014 term.
Important information regarding the state Tuition Aid Grant (TAG)
In order to be considered for TAG, NJ residents must provide additional income information to the New Jersey Higher Education Student Assistance Authority (HESAA). ALL TAG eligible students must comply with this new requirement. Your TAG award is determined by the HESAA (the state agency that awards state grants). Raritan Valley Community College does not determine your eligibility for TAG. Failure to provide the required information to HESAA will automatically make you ineligible to receive TAG. You will be contacted directly by HESAA. Submit the documents requested by HESAA to HESAA. Do not send the information to RVCC as this will delay the processing of your TAG award. Once HESAA determines your TAG eligibility RVCC will be notified. HESAA can be contacted directly through their website or by phone at 800-792-8670.
