Helping To Make Your RVCC Education Affordable

Attention Students, you can apply for Financial Aid for today!

Complete the FAFSA online. RVCC's school code is 007731. The FAFSA is used to determine eligibility for all types of Financial Aid - Federal, State, Loans, and certain scholarships.

If you are going to be at RVCC in the Spring or Summer 2013 semesters, please complete the 2012-2013 FAFSA.

If you plan on enrolling in the Fall 2013 or Spring 2014 semesters, please complete the 2013-14 FAFSA.

Did you know that if you have already applied for Financial Aid, you can view your information online through you Lion's Den account?  Lion's Den has all the information you will need to attend RVCC.  You can view your course schedule (and add or drop classes), pay your bill and also view all of your Financial Aid information (including aid you have been awarded, documents you must submit, etc).

pencilguyYou can view RVCC's Net Price Calculator here.

We recommend that students planning to attend RVCC in th upcoming fall term should complete the FAFSA around April 15th.  For continuing student's applying for 2013-14 award year, the state of New Jersey has a deadline of June 1, 2013 to apply to be eligible for the state Tuition Aid Grant (TAG). This deadline does not apply to new students or any federal grants, loans or scholarships and students who apply after June 1st will still be eligible for these other types of aid.

Important Information for Students Enrolled in the Spring 2013 term.

All Financial Aid (loans, grants, scholarships) will not be disbursed until February 22, 2013.  Your aid is currently in an"Authorized" status.  This means that the Finance Office will not require you to make a payment for the Spring 2013 term.  You can view your current Financial Aid through your Lion's Den account.

Spring Book Vouchers will be available beginning January 14th through February 8th.  Students who have Financial Aid money left over after their tuition and fees are paid will have that money available to buy their books.  All missing documents must be submitted before a book voucher will be issued to a student.

Important information regarding the state Tuition Aid Grant (TAG)

In order to be considered for TAG, NJ residents must provide additional income information to the New Jersey Higher Education Student Assistance Authority (HESAA). ALL TAG eligible students must comply with this new requirement. Your TAG award is determined by the HESAA (the state agency that awards state grants). Raritan Valley Community College does not determine your eligibility for TAG. Failure to provide the required information to HESAA will automatically make you ineligible to receive TAG.  You will be contacted directly by HESAA. Submit the documents requested by HESAA to HESAA. Do not send the information to RVCC as this will delay the processing of your TAG award. Once HESAA determines your TAG eligibility RVCC will be notified.  HESAA can be contacted directly through their website or by phone at 800-792-8670.

Changes to the Federal Verification process for 2012-13

We can no longer collect you personal copies of your tax return if you are selected for Verification.  You will need to use the IRS Data Match while completing your FAFSA or you will need to request a Tax Transcript from the IRS, which you can do here.  Other information regarding the Tax Transcript and IRS Data Match can be found here.
