Placement Testing

Placement Testing

RVCC is committed to equipping you with the skills necessary for success in college.   Before enrolling in classes, we want to ensure that you have the appropriate skill level in key areas such as English, Math, World Languages, and/or ESL.

RVCC, accepts SAT, ACT, PARCC or NJSLA, CLEP, AP exams, and high school math classes (completed within the last five years) to determine placement. For more information on specific placement for Math, English, World Languages, and ESL see the dropdowns below.

Students who wish to challenge their initial placement in Math or English can take RVCC’s placement test, the ACCUPLACER assessment.
