Take RVCC college classes at my high school (Concurrent Enrollment)

1) Meet with your high school counselor

Speak with your high school to determine what concurrent enrollment courses are offered at your high school and the qualifications needed to enroll.

2) Apply to RVCC and Get Your G#

Students should apply online to the College as an Early Admit High School Student (Non-Degree Seeking). Be sure to use a personal email address when signing up.

Click HERE for the Admissions Application (select Sign Up to begin a new application).

3) English and Math

For English and Math courses (or courses that require an English or Math prerequisite), students will need to submit proof of exemptions or complete Accuplacer testing. For Accuplacer English testing, students much attain an E4 (English Composition I w/ recommended Workshop) or E5 (English Composition I) to place into the English courses or courses with an English prerequisite. Please speak with your high school counselor to determine if you will need to submit placement scores or complete Accuplacer testing.

4) Pay for the Course(s)

The cost is $240* per course. There are two ways to pay:

  • Online by visiting https://www.raritanval.edu/paying-for-college/pay-tuition-now (select Student Account Payment). Take a screenshot of the receipt and send it to the high school counselor once completed. Students do not have to be registered for the course to complete payment through this portal. You must enter the RV Student ID which is your G number.
  • Checks should be made payable to RVC College and include your G#, First Name and Last Name. Checks should be given to your high school counselor.

5) Document Submission and Registration

The high school will then provide the RVCC K-12 Partnerships with the students transcripts, test scores if applicable, parent/guardian consent forms and check/confirmation of payment for review. The K-12 department will then register eligible students for the assigned course and let the high school know when the students are registered. Students cannot register for concurrent enrollment classes on their own.

The high school will be the primary point of contact for students throughout the process so please don't hesitate to reach out to them for assistance.
