Come See for Yourself. No Pressure.

The best way to know if RVCC is right for you is to walk the campus, talk to real people, and ask every question you’ve got. Our open houses and information sessions are built for exactly that — no sales pitch, no obligation, just an honest look at what student life here actually looks like.

You don’t have to have it figured out before you visit.

Whether you’re a high school senior weighing your options, an adult thinking about returning to school, or a parent trying to help someone you love find their footing — you’re welcome at any of our events. Come with questions. Come with doubts. Come not sure what you’re even looking for. That’s what these events are for.

Our admissions team, faculty, and current students will be there to give you the real story — what RVCC is like, what the programs look like up close, and what it actually takes to get started.

What to

expect

Here’s exactly what happens at an open house.

Every event is a little different, but you can expect to: get a campus tour led by a current student, hear from faculty about specific programs or departments, connect with financial aid advisors who can walk you through costs and options, and have time to ask whatever’s on your mind. Some events are broad overviews of the whole college. Others are focused on a specific program, audience, or pathway. Check the event listing to find the one that fits where you are right now.

Can’t wait for an event?

Questions people usually have before they visit

Do I need to bring anything to an open house?

Nope. Just yourself — and maybe a list of questions if that helps you think. You don’t need transcripts, applications, or test scores. This is just a chance to look around and talk to people.

Can I bring a parent, partner, or friend?

Absolutely. Bring whoever helps you think things through. We welcome families and support people at all our events.

What if I can’t make it to an in-person event?

Virtual options are available. Check the events page for online information sessions you can join from anywhere.

The first step is just showing up.
