Attend RVCC Tuition‑Free

A college education should open doors—not create financial barriers. The Community College Opportunity Grant (CCOG) makes it possible for eligible New Jersey residents to attend Raritan Valley Community College tuition‑free. Whether you’re just starting college, returning to finish your degree, or looking to build new skills, CCOG can help you move forward without the burden of tuition costs.

What Is the Community College Opportunity Grant?

CCOG is a New Jersey financial aid program that covers up to the full cost of tuition and approved educational fees at RVCC. The program is designed to make community college accessible and affordable for students of all ages and backgrounds who do not already have a prior Associates or Bachelor’s degree.

CCOG is a last‑dollar grant, meaning it fills the gap between your tuition/fees and any federal or state grants you already receive. Many students end up paying $0 for tuition.

Who Is Eligible?

You may qualify for CCOG if you:

  • Are a New Jersey resident
  • Are enrolled in an eligible degree or certificate program at RVCC
  • Complete the FAFSA or NJ Alternative Financial Aid Application
  • Have an adjusted gross income (AGI) below $65,000
  • Enroll in at least 6 credits per semester
  • Meet academic progress requirements

CCOG supports both full‑time and part‑time students, making it a flexible option for working adults, parents, and traditional college students.

What Does CCOG Cover?

CCOG can cover:

  • Tuition
  • Approved educational fees

Students are still responsible for out of county charges, books, supplies, and other non‑tuition costs—but many students also qualify for additional grants and scholarships that can help with those expenses.
