The RVCC Resource Center and Food Pantry is open to the entire college community. It exists to ensure students have access to basic necessities that support academic success and personal well-being.
By addressing everyday needs, the Center helps reduce financial stress that can interfere with staying enrolled. Support is provided with dignity, respect, and confidentiality.
Students can access groceries, snacks, and pantry staples at no cost. Weekly donations from Wegmans provide over $1,000 in fresh produce, meat, dairy, and pantry items.
The Center offers everyday and seasonal clothing, including professional attire for job interviews. These resources help students feel prepared, confident, and comfortable on and off campus.
Available support includes gas cards, ShopRite gift cards, bookstore vouchers, and grocery store cards. Transportation assistance and book vouchers help reduce educational expenses.
A laptop loaner program is available to ensure students have the technology needed to complete coursework, attend classes, and stay connected.
The Center connects students to housing and wellness resources, along with access to menstrual products and diapers, helping meet critical personal and family needs.
In addition to Wegmans, support comes from Somerset Food Bank, Community Food Bank of New Jersey, student associations, faculty, staff, and community donors.
The Center is committed to reducing stigma, building comprehensive support systems, and maintaining accessible, equitable, and sustainable services.
By promoting peer and community involvement, the Resource Center fosters empathy, connection, and a stronger campus community where students support one another.
