Welcoming and Inclusive Campus Environment
As outlined in its Policy on Sexual Harassment and Title IX, the College is committed to creating and sustaining a welcoming and inclusive working and learning environment that is free from sexual harassment and sex-based discrimination for students, faculty, staff, campus visitors, and all members of the College community.
Through regular college-wide training and proactive measures, RVCC is committed to promoting and building a welcoming environment. The College encourages students, faculty and staff to learn about sexual harassment, a hostile working and learning environment and its various forms and how sexual harassment affects their campus and the society in which they live. Training is provided for all new employees and students through Vector Solutions (Safe Colleges).
All incidents or perceived incidents of sexual misconduct/harassment and/or discrimination can be reported through the Bias & Discrimination Incident Report form or can be reported to either the Title IX Coordinator or Deputy Coordinator by email, mail, phone or in-person. A report may be considered a formal compliant when it is a document or an electronic submission that contains the Complainant’s physical or digital signature or otherwise indicates that the Complainant is the person filing the formal complaint. The formal complaint instead may be signed by the College’s Title IX Coordinator, but in that case, the College’s Title IX Coordinator is not a complainant or otherwise a party to the complaint.
