  • RVCC & Financial Aid Applications – Open in October
  • Fall Course Registration – Begins first week of April
  • Winter & Spring Course Registration – Begins first week of November
  • Summer Course Registration – Begins first week of January
  • Payment – Deadlines may vary by term

 

Application Prep List

Gather these documents ahead of time for a stress‑free class registration.

  • Immunization record from your physician for students 30 years of age and younger
  • High school transcript for students seeking admission to Early College, the Honors College, Nursing, and Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA), and for students who wish to apply for financial aid).
  • College placement (if available) – RVCC accepts SAT, ACT, PARCC or NJSLA, NJGPA (only ELA), CLEP, AP exams
  • College transcript for students transferring from another institution
  • Evaluation of foreign transcripts (NACES) for students who studied in another country

Complete your online application (link to Element451 application) and you could receive your admission decision in just 2–3 business days!

Be sure to check your email regularly; we will be sending important follow‑up messages about your application and college placement.

Some programs, including International (Students requesting I-20), Honors College, Nursing, OTA, and Medical Laboratory Technology, require additional applications or materials, so keep an eye out for next steps.

Registration varies based on your academic path, but we strongly encourage you to meet with an Academic Advisor to choose the courses that best fit your goals.

  • New students can join a fun, supportive ROAR Session to register with guidance.

High school students and visiting students from other colleges will receive their easy‑to‑use registration form by email once their application has been processed.

FAQs

How do I check the status of my application?

You can check your application status in your application portal. If you don’t receive your decisions letter within 2–3 business days, please email admissionsdataentry@raritanval.edu.

How do I submit documents?

Please send your high school transcript, immunization record, and test scores to admissionsdataentry@raritanval.edu. If you’ve attended another college, your college transcript should be sent to registrar@raritanval.edu.

How can I request a student ID card after I’ve applied?

Download the 360u app to upload your photo and get access to your virtual ID card. Nursing students will need a physical ID card, which must be requested at least one week before your clinicals start.

Is it mandatory to take a college placement test?

Not necessarily! Some students won’t need placement testing if they’ve already submitted certain test scores, like SAT, ACT, PARCC/NJSLA, NJGPA (ELA only), CLEP, or AP exams. Be sure to check your application checklist to see whether a placement test is required for you.
