the third day digital artwork

Raritan Valley Community College’s (RVCC) Arts & Design department will present the 23rd Annual RVCC Juried Student Art Exhibition, November 13-December 3, in the Art Gallery at the College’s Branchburg campus. The show is being coordinated by Arts & Design Associate Professor and Art Gallery Director Darren McManus.

The opening reception will be held in the RVCC Art Gallery on Friday, November 13, from 5-7 p.m. The event is free of charge and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.

Student artwork completed for visual art, graphic design, or interior design classes during the past year – since the Fall 2025 semester – will be featured in the exhibition. Selected work will span a variety of media including ceramics, painting, drawing, sculpture, graphic design, digital and multimedia, photography, illustration, interior design, video, and printmaking.

Each student was permitted to submit up to three pieces of artwork for consideration. The guest juror for this year’s exhibition is Stacy Swiderski of Wynter Gallery in Lambertville. Swiderski will evaluate all the entries, make the final selections for the exhibition, and determine the “best in show” award winners.

Stacy Swiderski is the owner and gallery director of Wynter Gallery, a contemporary fine art photography space in the heart of Lambertville, where she showcases the work of emerging and mid-career artists. A creative consultant and dedicated artist advocate, Swiderski has spent 15 years advising both commercial and fine art photographers on every facet of their work and brand – from portfolio development to business strategy – helping them build careers that are visible, sustainable, and truly their own.

Her consulting work is currently channeled through Tiny Island, the boutique brand management agency she launched in 2025 – built on years of hands-on advocacy, including her role as co-founder of Philly Reps. Through every chapter of her career, one belief remains constant: artists deserve real advocates in their corner.

Swiderski is also deeply committed to the wider photography community. She serves as a juror for Photolucida Critical Mass and as a thesis reviewer for art schools across the country. She holds degrees from Parsons School of Design and the School of Visual Arts and has taught photography at the university level.

Gallery hours for the RVCC Juried Student Art Exhibition are Mondays, 3-8 p.m.; Tuesdays, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.; Wednesdays, 3-8 p.m.; Thursdays, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.; and Fridays, 1-4 p.m. On Friday, November 13, the Art Gallery will not open until 5 p.m. For further information, contact Arts & Design, 908-218-8876.
