Obtaining an electrocardiogram (ECG) is an important part of a medical workup, and a properly recorded ECG can provide critical information for patient care. This 40-hour training program prepares students to perform ECG testing in a variety of healthcare settings while preparing for national certification.

ECG Technicians work in hospitals, physician offices, clinics, sports medicine facilities, nursing homes, and insurance companies. The skills learned in this program can open doors to a variety of healthcare career paths.
This comprehensive 40-hour course prepares students to function as ECG Technicians in a variety of healthcare settings. Students learn the skills needed to properly perform electrocardiograms, an essential diagnostic procedure used to evaluate heart function and identify cardiac abnormalities.
Upon successful completion of the course, students will be eligible to sit for the ECG Certifying Exam. Qualified students must be at least 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma or GED.
