Raritan Valley Community College offers English as a Second Language courses for learners at multiple skill levels, from beginner to high-beginning proficiency. Courses focus on practical communication skills, helping students improve speaking, listening, reading, and writing while gaining confidence in everyday interactions, the workplace, and educational settings.

ESL Pronunciation: Improve speaking clarity and listening skills
Our ESL courses are designed to help students progress step by step. Begin with ESL Basic or enter at the level that matches your current skills. Each course builds communication confidence through practical speaking, listening, reading, and writing activities that prepare learners for success in work, school, and daily life.
The ESL Pronunciation & Accent Reduction course helps learners improve spoken clarity, listening comprehension, and confidence in conversations. Through guided practice and individualized feedback, students develop communication skills that support success in professional, educational, and social settings.
RVCC’s ESL program is designed to support learners as they build English proficiency step by step.
