RVCC’s Festive Calendar of Events Brings Joy and Good Cheer!

Due to a serious automobile accident with the touring company’s bus, the Nebraska Theatre Caravan’s performance of A Christmas Carol, scheduled for Saturday, December 14, at The Theatre at Raritan Valley Community College in Branchburg, has been cancelled. The Theatre box office will process refunds for all ticket holders. For additional information, call 908-725-3420, Monday-Friday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Theatre Performances

‘Tis the season for fabulous performing arts! Enjoy holiday music, classical ballet and more at The Theatre at RVCC:

  • The Great Russian Nutcracker (Moscow Ballet)

Sunday, December 1, at 1 & 5 p.m. Tickets cost $50 and $60.

One of the most highly anticipated events of the holiday season, The Great Russian Nutcracker features dazzling costumes, towering puppets, stunning sets, and the exquisite artistry of 40 world-class Russian dancers.

  • Nutcracker Tea Party

Sunday, December 1, from 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. Tickets cost $30 for adults, $25 for children.

This extra-special Tea Party, which is held between performances of The Great Russian Nutcracker, includes sweet treats and a special photo with a Moscow Ballet ballerina.

The event is recommended for adults and children age four and older. For tickets, call the Box Office at 908-725-3420 or order online.

  • A Christmas Carol (Nebraska Theatre Caravan)

Saturday, December 14, at 2 p.m. Tickets cost $50 & $60.

Alive with color and movement and rich with thrilling ensemble music—including moving renditions of favorite holiday carols—this sumptuous production tells Dickens’ enduring tale in a manner that people of all ages will enjoy.

Planetarium

Fun awaits you this December as RVCC’s Planetarium presents a variety of star shows and laser concerts including:

  • The Alien Who Stole Christmas

Saturdays, December 14 & 21, 3 pm. 

Discover the stars visible in the winter sky.  Then follow Santa on a trip through the solar system when a friendly alien kidnaps him.  The kids on the other planets need presents too, you know!

  • Winter Wonder Lights

Saturdays, December 14 & 21, at 4 pm & 8 pm.

Enjoy a laser concert featuring holiday hits such as “Wizards in Winter,” “Rockin’ around the Christmas Tree” and “Dominic the Donkey.”

  • Mystery at the North Pole

Saturdays, December 14 & 21, 7 pm.

Santa is too ill to deliver presents this year!  Who could have done this? The audience will need to look at the suspects and figure out who is guilty.

The College’s student talent sparks joy with a variety of performances including:

  • RVCC Chorale Holiday Concert

Saturday, December 7 at 8 pm.

This program features old favorites and traditional carols guaranteed to put even the biggest Grinch into the holiday spirit!

  • Dance Works

Thursday & Friday, December 5 & 6 at 8 pm.

Enjoy an evening of student and faculty choreography including everything from modern to ballet.

RVCC Holiday Art Show & Sale
