Annual Music Faculty Recital Scheduled

Raritan Valley Community College’s Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) Department will present the annual Music Faculty Recital, Sunday, February 24, at 3 p.m., in the Welpe Theatre at the College’s Branchburg campus. The program will be coordinated by John Sichel, Associate Professor of Music.

Featured music faculty will include Steve Hudson, piano (New York City); John Loehrke, bass (New York City); John Sichel, piano (Mountainside); Michael Eckhart, guitar (Hillsborough); Margaret Nelson, piano (Belle Mead); and Eldad Tarmu, vibraphone (Union City). Guest artists will include RVCC English Professor Michelle Brazier, violin (Bound Brook); and flutists Jenny Cline (Westfield) and Karen Bogardus (New York City).

The program will include solo, accompanied and ensemble pieces, spanning a wonderful variety of musical styles, traditions and repertory. Original compositions and arrangements also will be featured.
