Annual Music Faculty Recital to be Presented

The Visual and Performing Arts Department (VAPA) of Raritan Valley Community College (RVCC) will present the annual Music Faculty Recital, Sunday, February 18, at 3 p.m., in the Welpe Theatre at the College’s Branchburg campus. The program will be coordinated by Associate Professor Tony Strong, Music Coordinator for the VAPA Department.

Featured music faculty will include Steve Hudson, piano (New York City); John Loehrke, bass (New York City); John Sichel, piano (Mountainside); Tony Strong, piano (Long Valley); and Eldad Tarmu, vibraphone (Union City). Special guest artists will include Cengiz Baysl, drums (Toms River); RVCC English Professor Michelle Brazier, violin (Bound Brook); RVCC music major Eleni Catanzaro, soprano (New Providence); and Hsinyi Tsai, piano (Flemington).

The program will include solo, accompanied and ensemble pieces, spanning a wonderful variety of musical styles, traditions and repertory. Original compositions and arrangements also will be featured.
