An article written by Kylei Mittler, Geri Kain, Sophia Kirsinger, and Bryan Auccapina Aliaga, all students in a Genetics class taught by Dr. Melanie Lenahan, Professor of Biology, has been included in Genomics: Insights.

The article, “Identifying ADHD risk genes through de novo variants,” responded to a research question: “What risk genes can be linked to ADHD?”

The RVCC students, who were mentored by Dr. Lenahan, are part of a group of 29 authors from high schools, community colleges, and universities in the United States and the United Kingdom whose work has been included in the National Human Genome Research Institute’s Genomics: Insights. All entries received professional reviewer feedback.
