Raritan Valley Community College will be hosting a site for the 2021 Virtual Global Game Jam, January 29-31. There’s still time to register for the online event, which is open to anyone ages 16 and older and begins at 5 p.m. on January 29.

The worldwide challenge offers participants the opportunity to make a brand new game prototype based on a theme in 48 hours.

The annual event brings together hundreds of thousands of jammers from more than 100 countries around the world to create games. The Game Jam is free of charge, and people of all skill levels and experiences are welcome and encouraged to participate.

To take part in the Global Game Jam, register by January 29 at the Jam site: https://globalgamejam.org/2021/jam-sites/raritan-valley-community-college-virtual. Participants will be invited to pre-event lectures and the RVCC Global Game Jam discord channel. Jammers under age 18 must have a parent or guardian sign a waiver to allow them to participate.
