RVCC to Offer Graduate School Entrance Exam Prep Classes

Raritan Valley Community College is offering two new courses beginning in January that prepare students for graduate school entrance examinations. The Kaplan GRE Test Prep class will be held Monday and Wednesday evenings, January 8-May 2, from 6-7:30 p.m., and a Kaplan GMAT Test Prep course will be held Monday and Wednesday evenings, January 8- May 2, from 7:30-9 p.m. Both classes will be held in RVCC’s Workforce Training Center at the College’s Branchburg campus.

The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) is a standardized test that is an admissions requirement for most graduate schools in the United States. The Kaplan GRE Test Prep class uses Kaplan’s GRE Prep 2018 materials to help students prepare to take the GRE exam. The course guides students through a step-by-step process, using proven strategies that assist students to excel when taking the GRE exam.

The Kaplan GMAT Test Prep course uses Kaplan materials to help students prepare to take the GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test) for entry into a graduate management program. The GMAT is a computer adaptive test (designed to adjust to the test-taker’s ability level based on the responses provided) that is intended to assess certain analytical, writing, quantitative, verbal, and reading skills.
