Raritan Valley Community College’s Arts & Design department will present two Music Students Recitals on May 3. Both concerts, which are open to the community, will be held in the Welpe Theatre at the College’s Branchburg campus.

The concerts will feature performances by music majors in the department’s Associate of Fine Arts degree program, as well as music students from studio and ensemble classes. The recitals’ program will include solo, accompanied and ensemble pieces, featuring an exceptional variety of musical styles and traditions.

An instrumental recital, with performances by students of RVCC faculty members Abraham Alinea, Laura Oltman, Karl Latham, Justin Lee, Jeremy Sweet, and Richard Lempicki, will be held on May 3 at 1:30 p.m.

Featured instrumental students will include: Damon Deangelo, Joel Jimenez-Carmona, Daniel Santos, Gianmarco Flores, Derek Krasnansky, Zaire Wilson, William Bang, Amish Batki, Robert Devine-Gelling, Aniyah Johnson, Tyler Scotto, Gabriella Abbate, Sydni Fields, Jimmy Kosta, Joseph Lascala, Zoey Lefkin, Daniel Lopez-Ortiz, Linda Matos, Nathaniel Richmond, Trent Scoppa, Jackson Twombly, and Karlie Connery.

A second recital, with performances by voice students of RVCC faculty member Dr. Will Berman, will be held at 4 p.m. Featured voice students will include: Alex Kesselhaut, Alicia Chapman, Aliz Thomas Abarca, Carlene Recto, Cherise Sumba, Cynthia DiMarco, C’andra Tedder, Karlie Connery, Kathleen Strong, Mabel Cesario, Maria Avila, Mckenzie Miller, Rachel Calderon Montes, Rubi Guardado, and Sarah Stefaniak.

Both recitals also will feature Abraham Alinea on piano.
