Theatre Slates Show about Storyteller Hans Christian Andersen, His Fairy Tales

The Theatre at Raritan Valley Community College will launch its Family Matinee series with a production of Hans: My Life in Fairy Tales, Saturday, October 18, at 2 p.m.
The Family Matinee Series offers performances for children and young teens and their families.
Hans: My Life in Fairy Tales offers a lively, magical journey into the imagination of the world’s most celebrated storyteller: Hans Christian Andersen. It blends details about Andersen’s life with timeless tales, such as The Little Mermaid, The Ugly Duckling, and The Emperor’s New Clothes.
This premiere production is packed with puppetry, live video, clowning, opera, slapstick, and an original accordion soundtrack. Created by acclaimed theatre-makers Craig Francis and Rick Miller, Hans is a celebration of humor, heart, and the power of stories. It’s well suited for children ages four and older, families, and anyone who believes in the importance of imagination.
