RVCC women's basketball team lineup in 2024

Raritan Valley Community College’s Women's Basketball Team is off to the best start in recent history, with a 16-2 overall record. The Lady Lions are 4-1 in Region XIX play, which has them second in the standings.

Thanks to three RVCC players from Spain, the team has been receiving some terrific international assistance. Lucia Noin, a sophomore from Santander, Spain, leads the team in both points and rebounds with 21 and 9 respectively. Vega Gil, a freshman from Pamplona, Spain, is second on the team with 15 points per game, while Julia Fontanillo, a freshman from Valladolid, Spain, is third with 10 points per game. In week two of the season, the Lions achieved their first-ever national ranking, entering the NJCAA Division II poll at #18 after defeating #3 Harcum College the previous week.

Raritan Valley Community College is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association Region XIX and the Garden State Athletic Conference. RVCC has been represented at the state and national levels in many sports, enabling students to compete for athletic scholarships at four-year colleges and universities. RVCC currently offers eight athletic programs that participate in NJCAA DII or NJCAA DIII levels.

Scholarship NJCAA DII programs include Men’s Basketball, Women’s Basketball, Baseball, and Softball. Non-scholarship NJCAA DIII programs include Men’s and Women’s Soccer, Golf, and Women's Volleyball.
