Learn about opportunities for high school students to earn college credits over the summer during Raritan Valley Community College’s Jumpstart Pre-College Information Session, June 8, from 6-7 p.m.

During the virtual information session, offered via a Zoom webinar, students will learn about RVCC’s summer Jumpstart Pre-College Program. Designed for rising juniors and seniors, the program allows students to jumpstart their college education by taking affordable, online summer classes at RVCC, earn credits, and smoothly transition from high school to college.

Courses include History of Photography, Human Biology, Introduction to Nutrition, Interpersonal Communication, Survey of American Film, Introduction to Geology, World Civilization, Music Appreciation, Introduction to Philosophy and more. Classes begin July 6.

Credits earned during the program may be transferred to RVCC or another college of the student’s choice. Taking Jumpstart Pre-Collegeclasses enables students to lighten their college workload, sample courses in a particular major of their interest, and earn college credits before they even graduate from high school. Students must have a high school grade point average of at least 3.0 to apply to the program.
