Students enrolled in Raritan Valley Community College’s Medical Assistant Certificate program recently participated in the New Jersey State Society American Medical Technologists’ (NJSSAMT) Fall 2026 Scientific Meeting, held October 17 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Edison.
Students had the opportunity to learn about their profession from knowledgeable speakers representing several disciplines. The presentations provided valuable insights, current information, and practical knowledge that attendees could apply in their professional roles. In addition to the educational sessions, the event featured award presentations, networking, and opportunities for professional engagement.
The RVCC students’ attendance provided valuable opportunities to connect with experienced professionals, learn from respected leaders in the field, exchange ideas and experiences with peers, and gain a deeper appreciation for the importance of professional involvement and continued engagement within the healthcare community.
The event also celebrated the 87th anniversary of NJSSAMT and its beginnings in Red Bank. This important milestone offered students the opportunity to celebrate the organization’s rich history, recognize the contributions of those who helped build its foundation, and reflect on the future of the profession with optimism and enthusiasm.
The daylong meeting was filled with learning, collaboration, recognition, and opportunities to strengthen the professional connections that continue to support the organization and medical assisting profession.
