The RVCC Foundation is welcoming new members to its Board of Directors, including two student representatives for 2026-2027. A new Board of Directors Chair also has been named. The RVCC Foundation is the fundraising entity of Raritan Valley Community College.
Sean Murray of Titusville has been named to the RVCC Foundation Board of Directors. Murray is recently retired as Fulton Bank Market President for Northern New Jersey and the Lehigh Valley. He was with Fulton for 10 years and was the senior banking officer for the region. Prior to his time at Fulton Bank, Murray was Market President for Peapack Gladstone Bank, NJ State President for Wilmington Trust, and Regional Managing Director for Wachovia Wealth Management Group in Southern New Jersey.
Murray has been involved in a number of charitable organizations during his career. He is currently the Chairman of the Board of Capital Health System, a multi–hospital healthcare organization serving Central New Jersey and parts of Bucks County, Pennsylvania. In the past he has served on the Thomas Edison University Foundation Board, local Scouting Council Board of Directors, the Board of Directors for the Princeton Chamber of Commerce, McCarter Theatre’s Board of Directors, Homefront’s Board of Directors, The Princeton Historical Society Board of Directors, The Old Barracks Museum Board of Directors, and Rutgers Camden Business School’s Executive Advisory Board.
He received his undergraduate degree from Guilford College and his MBA from Villanova University.
Hoda Khamis of Whitehouse Station and Vedha Priya Shivaraman of Somerset have been named Student Representatives to the RVCC Foundation Board of Directors for the 2026-2027 academic year.
Khamis, an online student who is studying Liberal Arts-Social Science, has been actively involved in advocacy work focused on education and special needs support. This includes supporting homeschooling communities, advocating for inclusive practices within schools and community spaces, and participating in programs that assist families navigating special education services.
Shivaraman, a Business Administration major, reestablished and led the Desi Club at RVCC to create representation for South Asian students. She also has assisted the Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Manville, spending more than 100 hours supporting operations, customer service, inventory coordination, and donation management.
Dan Van Tran of Bedminster has been named the new Chair of the RVCC Foundation Board of Directors, succeeding Alan Boomer, Managing Partner at Momentum Advisors. Boomer will remain on the Board and serve as Co-Chair of the Finance & Investment Committee. Tran previously served as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors.
Tran is the Chief Technology Officer at Collectors, a multibillion-dollar global leader in authentication and grading of collectibles, with brands like PSA, PCGS, and Beckett. He oversees an international engineering organization of more than 200 professionals, modernizing platforms and launching AI-powered innovations. He’s also the Founder and CEO of Myth MVP, a boutique consultancy that helps companies launch new AI-enabled products and modernize legacy systems so they can build faster on today’s technology. Tran serves as a member of the New Jersey Economic Development Authority’s Innovation Advisory Committee, advising on technology strategy and innovation ecosystem development for the State of New Jersey.
He graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a dual BS in Computer Science and Electronic Media, Arts & Communications.
The RVCC Foundation exists to expand support for the College and its key priorities and initiatives. Students are central to the Foundation’s fundraising efforts, as it seeks to supplement support beyond public and tuition income, and to help the College maintain its standing as a premier academic institution serving Somerset and Hunterdon counties.
