If the performing arts is your passion, Raritan Valley Community College offers a variety of programs for the public—from a dance ensemble to instrumental and vocal performance groups and more. Some groups may require auditions for participants.

Raritan Valley Dance Ensemble

This class is an opportunity to work as part of a semi-professional touring dance company. Through this experience, you will practice and perform a variety of dances. Weekly rehearsals and public performances are required. Interested community participants are welcome to join on a non-credit, fee-paying basis through the Division of Community Education, and students may participate on a credit or noncredit basis. Dance pants and shoes are to be purchased by the student.

Chamber Music

Weekly rehearsals and one or more public performances are required. Different repertory will be featured each semester. Students will improve their ensemble skills and their music reading ability.

RVCC Chorale

RVCC Jazz Ensemble

Audition required. Enrollment may be limited by the needs of the ensemble. This performance ensemble class pursues the study and performance of jazz repertoire in an ensemble format, through the exploration and development of interpretation and improvisation of jazz compositions and arrangements in various jazz styles. Public performances on or off-campus are required. Auditions are open to qualified students and community participants.
