Start college ahead of the game — and make a smooth, rewarding transition from high school to college. At RVCC, we offer a variety of Early College Programs designed for high school students looking to jumpstart their education.
Our Early College Credits Program allows high school juniors and seniors to earn real college credit, right on our campus. Taking courses alongside college students, you’ll get to explore a potential major or lighten your freshman year load. Credits earned at RVCC can be transferred to the college of your choice. Students must have at least a 3.0 high school GPA to apply.
What if you could gain high school and college credits — from a single class? Our concurrent enrollment program allows you to take rigorous academic courses at your high school to fulfill college requirements. These credits can come with you to RVCC, or transfer to the university of your choice — effectively reducing both your tuition and your workload. Browse our courses and apply! High schools offering RVCC courses include Bound Brook, Bridgewater-Raritan, Central Jersey College Prep Charter, Franklin, Hillsborough, Hunterdon Central, Hunterdon County Polytech, North Hunterdon, North Plainfield, Ridge, Somerset County Vocational & Technical, Somerville and Voorhees.
Raritan Valley Community College has partnered with three high schools in Somerset County to offer esteemed academies for high school students. These highly selective and rigorous four-year learning communities enable students to work simultaneously toward their high school diploma and an associate degree from RVCC. Graduates of these academies have continued their studies at top ranked colleges and universities throughout the United States.
