Are you dreaming of a new career? Have you delayed college and need to get back on track? Are you stuck in a dead-end job? Or, perhaps you want to enhance your existing skill set? Thanks to RVCC, you can be on your way to a better future and it won’t take more than 20 minutes! Whether you are a high school graduate who delayed your college start, a college freshman or sophomore looking to transfer from an away school to a local college to continue your studies, or an adult aiming to secure a college degree, now is the time to register for RVCC’s Spring Semester. Simply follow the 5 easy steps below and you’ll be on the road toward a better future!
Step 1: Attend an Admissions Information Session or Instant Decision Day
RVCC’s General Information Sessions and Campus Tours provide a comprehensive look at the College’s diverse programs, a glimpse of campus life, information about the application process, and payment options. The sessions take place on November 8 and 14 and December 11 and 16. Learn more here. Also, RVCC’s Instant Decision Day takes place Tuesday, December 12, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. At that time, you can apply online for free, meet with an admissions specialist, tour the campus, submit admissions documentation, take any needed placement tests, and more! Register here or contact the Admissions Office at 908-526-1200, ext. 7009 or email@example.com. Both events take place in the RVCC Event Center at the Branchburg campus located at 118 Lamington Road.
Step 2: Apply Online
It takes only 20 minutes for you to complete your RVCC application online. Simply choose the type of student you are, complete the application, and pay the $25 nonrefundable fee.
Step 3: Determine Your College Placement
If you are a full-time student or are taking a class with Math or English prerequisites, you may need to take an English and Math Accuplacer Test, a computer-based exam. No appointment is needed to take the test. Simply visit RVCC’s Testing Center with a photo ID and allow 2 1/2 hours to complete the test. Students with a minimum SAT, ACT, or PARCC score or college-level credits may be able to opt out of testing.
Step 4: Register for Your Spring 2020 Classes
If you are a first-time student, you should attend RVCC’s First Year Registration Session where you will get to meet your academic advisor, register for classes and learn about college resources to help you make a successful transition to RVCC. Find more details here. And, if you are transferring credits from another school, an RVCC Advisor can help make the transition a smooth one. Simply click here to get started!
Step 5: Pay Your Tuition and Fees
