RVCC is a thriving campus

With close to 50 different clubs and organizations, student government, honor societies, leadership development, athletic teams and intramural sports, theatrical and musical performances, speakers and much more, RVCC gives your child a total college experience.

Student Clubs

With so many clubs and organizations to choose from at RVCC, your child is sure to find one that matches their interests or talents. All clubs and organizations are led by students, for students. If your child doesn’t see what they’re looking for, they can even start their own club.

Honor Societies

RVCC has several chapters of national and international honors societies to foster your child’s love of learning and encourage their desire to excel.

Student Government

Students are the backbone of campus life. If your child is interested in fundraising initiatives, leadership seminars, or allocating funds for diverse school clubs with a group of their peers, student government is a great place to get involved.

Athletics

Athletics are a vital part of student life at RVCC. The College currently offers nine athletic programs that participate in NJCAA DII or NJCAA DIII levels. If your child would prefer something more informal, the Athletic Department also sponsors intramural sports programs, giving students the opportunity to socialize while keeping fit through exercise.

Fitness Center & Pool

As an RVCC student, your child will have access to a 2,800 square foot Fitness Center and a six-lane, 25-yard indoor pool for lap swimming. They both offer great opportunities to be physically active on campus.

Student Performances/Art Gallery

If your child is interested in any area of the arts, the College’s Arts & Design Department offers opportunities to participate in dance, musical and theatrical performances, as well as art shows.

Service Learning

Your child may have an opportunity to participate in our nationally recognized Service Learning Program, in which students serve the community as part of their classroom instruction.

FAQs

Is there any place on campus where my child can get a meal or snacks?

Hot meals, fast food, snacks and vending machine services are provided in the cafeteria by the College’s food service partner, CulinArt. The cafeteria is located on the upper level of the College Center. The Brew Ha Ha Café, a snack bar featuring nationally branded Starbucks coffee and limited food choices, is available on the ground floor of Somerset Hall by the Mannheimer Welcome Center. Vending machine services are available throughout the campus.

How does my child join one of the College’s clubs?

Your student should contact a club advisor if they’re interested in joining a club.

What is a Student Engagement Transcript and how can my child obtain one?

The Student Engagement Transcript is an official listing and validation of your student’s leadership roles, community service and internship experiences, and much more. Official copies of your child’s Student Engagement Transcript are a great complement to their resume and academic transcript when they’re transferring to other colleges or applying to prospective employers or scholarship committees.

How does my student join one of RVCC’s Athletic teams?

If your child is interested in joining an Athletic team, they should contact one of our coaches through the Athletics website. They also may complete a questionnaire and a coach will get back to them with additional information.
