How long does it take to become a RN in NJ?, At Raritan Valley Community College, there are two RN nursing programs to choose from—both of which take two years to complete.

• Nursing RN, Associate of Applied Science

Graduates of this program receive an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Nursing and qualify to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN). Graduates have an opportunity to seamlessly continue their education and earn a Bachelor of Science degree from Kean University.

• Nursing (PN/AD), Associate of Applied Science Degree Option in Nursing

LPN to RN Bridge Programs are designed for students who have already graduated from a Practical Nursing (PN) program and want to continue their education to become RNs. RVCC’s program prepares students to take the NCLEX-RN and then work in an entry-level position as a registered nurse.
