In an effort to balance keeping a college education affordable, while still maintaining the critical academic and support services that are vital to student success, Raritan Valley Community College Board of Trustees has made the difficult decision to raise tuition $6 per credit.

The new tuition of $174 per credit would take effect for the Fall 2022 Semester. For the average full-time student taking 30 credits during the academic year, tuition would increase by $180. For the average part-time student taking 12 credits during the academic year, tuition would increase by $72.

“The pandemic continues to impact enrollment at the College, as so many of our students are experiencing ongoing financial hardships that affect their educational plans. We have tried to keep tuition costs affordable, while still maintaining RVCC’s excellent educational offerings and support for students that are essential to our core mission of teaching and learning,” said RVCC President Michael J. McDonough.

The College’s FY 2023 budget will be voted on at the April Board of Trustees meeting, which is scheduled for April 26.
