First Part of Annual Student Art Exhibition Planned
Raritan Valley Community College’s Arts & Design department will present the annual RVCC Student Art Exhibition in two installments again this year. Part I of the exhibition will be on display from February 28-March 28, in the Art Gallery at the College’s Branchburg campus. Part II of the exhibition will run from April 6-May 3.
The opening reception for Part I will be held Friday, March 4, from 5-7 p.m. As a precautionary measure against COVID-19, the reception will not include refreshments. The event is free of charge and open to the public. Face masks are required in the Art Gallery and in all College buildings.
The wide variety of work included in the exhibition was created by RVCC students over the past academic year and selected by Arts & Design faculty members. Part I will feature an array of media from the following disciplines: 2D Design, Book Arts, Color Theory, Drawing, Illustration, Interior Design, 3D Design, Sculpture, and Printmaking. The show is being coordinated by Associate Professor and RVCC Art Gallery Director, Darren McManus.
Gallery hours for the exhibition are Mondays, 3-8 p.m.; Tuesdays, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.; Wednesdays, 3-8 p.m.; Thursdays, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.; and Fridays, 1-4 p.m. For further information, contact Arts & Design, 908-218-8876.
