January Information Session for RVCC Cosmetology, Skin Care Programs Slated

Learn more about Raritan Valley Community College’s Cosmetology program and its new Skin Care program at an information session, January 10, from 5:30-7 p.m.  The session will be held at RVCC’s Cosmetology Salon in Bridgewater, located at 14 Vogt Drive (Building B, Room B209-211). During the event, prospective students will be able to view and participate in hands-on demonstrations, meet the programs’ director, and take part in a question-and-answer segment.

RVCC’s Cosmetology and Skin Care programs feature an accomplished teaching staff, innovative teaching methods, and opportunities for job shadowing and salon practicum. The programs offer proactive job placement for graduates and other components critical to student success.

According to information from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of hairdressers, hairstylists, and cosmetologists was projected to grow 13 percent from 2014-2024, while employment for skin care specialists was projected to grow 12 percent.

RVCC’s next full-time day and part-time evening Cosmetology programs begin January 17, and a new Skin Care Specialist program begins January 11.
