Raritan Valley Community College Medical Laboratory Technology student Samantha Maxcy has been honored by the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science (ASCLS).

Maxcy received a $500 scholarship  from ASCLS-NJ and the Omicron Sigma Award at the organization’s spring seminar held earlier this month. She is on track to graduate from RVCC this summer along with the MLT program’s second cohort of students.

Omicron Sigma is the ASCLS President’s Honor Roll for Outstanding Service. The award recognizes dedicated members who volunteer their personal resources, time, and energy to ASCLS.

The American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science (ASCLS) provides leadership and promotes all aspects of clinical laboratory science practices in the health care system.
