New Alumni Representative Named to Board of Trustees

Eric Neira of North Plainfield has been chosen as the new Alumni Representative to the Raritan Valley Community College Board of Trustees. Neira graduated from the College in May with a degree in Business Administration. He plans to continue his education this fall at Rutgers University, focusing on Finance and Leadership and Management.

Active in student life on campus, Neira was the Student Government Association’s (SGA) Representative for the Orgullo Latino Club and a member of RVCC’s Enactus organization. During the 2017-2018 school year, he also was named Chair of SGA’s Transportation Committee and Co-Chair of the Game Room Improvement Committee. Neira volunteered at the Office of Multicultural Affairs and was involved with the cultural clubs on campus. He is also a member of Alpha Beta Gamma, the international business honor society for two-year colleges.

Raritan Valley Community College’s main campus is located at 118 Lamington Road in Branchburg, NJ. Serving Somerset and Hunterdon County residents for close to 50 years, RVCC is an educational and cultural center that is nationally recognized for its innovative programming, service to the community and environmental leadership.
