The public is invited to view “Americans Who Tell the Truth,” on display October 16-December 12 at Raritan Valley Community College, Branchburg. The collaborative exhibition features portraits and narratives highlighting citizens who courageously address issues of social, environmental, and economic fairness. It is being presented by RVCC’s Paul Robeson Institute for Ethics, Leadership, & Social Justice; the Department of Institutional Engagement; the Institute for Holocaust and Genocide Studies; and the Evelyn S. Field Library.
An opening Reception for “Americans Who Tell the Truth” will be held October 16, from 4-6:30 p.m., in the Paul Robeson Resource Center, located on the first floor of the College’s Evelyn S. Field Library.
“Americans Who Tell the Truth” utilizes the power of art to highlight such topics as civil rights, human rights, and economic and environmental justice, using past and present figures in American history that have inspired, challenged, and warned the country and its citizens to do better.
The portraits will be on display at RVCC in the Paul Robeson Resource Center and the Morris and Dorothy Hirsch Resource Library.
