students taking standardized tests

Raritan Valley Community College (RVCC) will offer SAT preparation courses this winter and spring. Classes will be held at the College’s Branchburg campus.

Two sessions will be offered. The first course will be held Sundays, January 28-March 4, from 2-5 p.m., and also on Tuesdays, January 30, February 20 & 27, from 6:30-9:30 p.m. A second course will be offered Sundays, March 11-April 29, from 2-5 p.m., and also on Monday, April 23, from 6:30-9:30 p.m.

The SAT preparation course is geared toward 11th and 12th grade students who plan to take the SAT exam in March or May. The curriculum has been completely revised to reflect the changes in subject matter and format. In addition to offering a thorough subject matter review, the program exposes students to the pattern and trappings of questions. Students learn time-saving techniques, discover how to easily spot incorrect answers and build test-taking stamina, so they are more relaxed and better prepared on the day of the exam.

Homework is required. All materials are included in the $449 fee for each course.
