Somerset County Names Two New Members to Board of Trustees

Raritan Valley Community College’s (RVCC) Board of Trustees welcomed new members Jinnee DeMarco and Adam Shain, both of Bernardsville, at its meeting held on December 13. Ms. DeMarco and Mr. Shain were both appointed to the RVCC Board by the Somerset County Board of County Commissioners.

Ms. DeMarco currently serves as the School Business Administrator and Board Secretary for the Somerset Hills School District. Before joining the Somerset Hills School District, she was the  Assistant Business Administrator and Board Secretary for the Wayne Township Public Schools.
 
Prior to working in Education, Ms. DeMarco spent 11 years as a Project Manager and Corporate Accounting Manager for a Global Asset Management Firm in New York City. Additionally, she managed a mid-size Law Firm as the Office Administrator for six years.

Ms. DeMarco was born in South Korea and grew up in Northern Virginia. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Human Development from Boston College and a Master’s Degree in Accounting from Fordham University. She is married and is the mother of three children.

Mr. Shain, Vice President, Aptar Digital Health, a leading digital therapeutic company, part of AptarGroup, Inc., is a leader in Global Business Development. He has over 15 years of experience in the life sciences space with a focus in drug delivery, pharmaceutical combination product development, pharmaceutical commercialization, and digital health. His roles have been in global capacity that spans the United States, Europe, LATAM, India, and China.

Prior to his current function, he worked for the branded arm of Dr. Reddy’s, a leading Indian generic company. In that role, he was responsible for developing and commercializing new drug products.

Mr. Shain is a longtime instructor in Martial Arts where he holds black belts in Alex Wilkie American Free Style Martial Arts and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. He holds a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from NJIT. A longtime Somerset County resident, Mr. Shain is married and is the father of two children.
