Area residents interested in learning more about book writing are invited to attend “So You Want to Write a Book,” a free workshop hosted by the Evelyn S. Field Library at Raritan Valley Community College in Branchburg, Tuesday, November 13, from 7-8:30 p.m.

The event, presented by New Jersey Authors Network (NJAN), will include a panel of published authors with experience working in such genres as historical fiction, fantasy, journalism, and poetry. The panel features mainly Raritan Valley Community College adjunct professors.

The authors will share their personal journeys to publication, focusing on such topics as how new authors can receive feedback; where to send submissions; and how to handle the perils, pitfalls and unexpected surprises that come with book writing.

A question-and-answer session with the audience will follow the presentations.

For additional information, contact Carina Gonzalez, RVCC Outreach Librarian, at carina.gonzalez@raritanval.edu.
