Essential Management Skills

New and existing supervisors have totally different objectives then technical experts or team contributors. This program offers individuals some fundamental skills for making a transition into a management position, or refining skills of an existing manager.  It focuses on the responsibilities of overseeing an area such as setting goals, talent development and performance management.  In addition, colleagues that were once team members may now report to them. The program also addresses how to communicate effectively with peers and successfully transition into a management position. If you are a new manager or someone considering a supervisory role, this program will be beneficial.

The ultimate success or failure of a project is directly related to the quality of the planning process for the project. This course provides an overview of the methods and procedures that are used to plan their work, estimate costs and develop a project schedule.

Organizations are using project management skills to provide a structure for dealing with increasingly competitive markets, financial pressures to improve performance, restructuring, acquisitions and globalization. Project management provides a structure for addressing the pressures that most organizations are facing. This course provides participants with an overview of the essential elements of project management and the project management life cycle.
