Free Tuition Program
RVCC participates in the New Jersey Community College Opportunity Grant Program, which offers free community college to qualified students. Eligible students will receive free tuition and most educational fees for up to 18 credits a semester. The Opportunity Grant will pay for all tuition and educational fee costs not covered by state, federal, institutional or community grants or scholarships.
The RVCC Foundation awards more than $300,000 in scholarships annually thanks to generous donations. Recipients can use their scholarships to help with the cost of tuition, fees, and books. Scholarships are awarded to students based on financial need and academic merit. Scholarship opportunities are available for students who are pursuing particular areas of study such as Nursing or STEM as well as skilled athletes and dedicated volunteers. Special scholarships are available for incoming freshman students. Do you plan to transfer to a university after graduation? Your future school just may offer scholarships for RVCC graduates. You can browse the complete list at scholarship opportunities.
The NJ STARS state scholarship program is exclusively for NJ residents who graduate in the top 15 percent of their high school class. The scholarship covers the cost of tuition at RVCC. To be eligible, you must rank in the top 15 percent of your high school class at the end of either your junior or senior year; complete a rigorous series of high school courses; and take a minimum of 12 and maximum of 18 college credits each semester at RVCC.
