We will also have the Observatory open, weather permitting, and hands-on activities in and around the Planetarium. Workforce Development will host Classic Cars, weather permitting, and their salon services will be available for a fee. The highlight of the day is the Aiken & Friends Fest in the center Courtyard, including 4 sets of live music and a drop-in Pickers Tent where local musicians can come together to play. For 13 years, Aiken & Friends Fest has been coastal Virginia’s premier music festival featuring national, regional and local artists and songwriters performing original music. Now, we’ve joined with Mike & Amy Aiken in opening up a North Branch two-day mini fest here at the Theatre. The Music Fest is BYOC (Bring Your Own Chair).
