Friday, April 7, 2023

Members of the community interested in learning more about Raritan Valley Community College’s new Adult Learners’ College are invited to attend a special Information Session on Tuesday, April 25, at United Way of Hunterdon County’s Volunteer Center, located at 20 Fulper Road, Flemington. Two sessions will run: from 3-5 p.m. and 5-7 p.m.

The event will include information about applying to RVCC, support services designed for non-traditional students, and paying for college and financial aid options.

Launching this fall, RVCC’s Adult Learners’ College is designed for adults age 25 and older who are looking to begin or complete their college degree, explore a new career path, gain additional training, get a promotion at work, be the first member of their family to attend college, or improve their English. In addition, 7-week semesters will be offered for some programs, providing adult students with a more convenient academic schedule to help them balance work, school, and family obligations.

Adult students may enroll in workforce, certificate, or degree programs at RVCC. Some of the College’s programs that may be of interest to adult students include:

•    English as a Second Language
•    Phlebotomy Assistant Certificate
•    OSHA 10 Card
