Raritan Valley Community College recently hosted its first “Biotechnology Panel Discussion,” offering local educators the opportunity to learn about career opportunities and the increased demand for employees in the fields of aseptic processing and biomanufacturing.

Held at the College’s Event Center, the March 19 event was attended by high school administrators, superintendents, science teachers, and guidance counselors. The program featured a panel of industry experts from Johnson & Johnson, Novartis, Joule, and Apex Building Services, who spoke about the employment outlook, the characteristics of a successful employee, and tuition reimbursement policies at their organizations.

Dr. Sarah Imbriglio, RVCC Dean of STEM, Health Science Education, and Library, was the panel moderator for the event, which will be repeated in the future with other groups and stakeholders.
